The Vietnamese government has set an ambitious GDP growth target of over 8% for 2025, aiming to become a regional economic powerhouse.

HDBank’s Vice Chairwoman Nguyễn Thị Phương Thảo highlighted Vietnam’s resilience in overcoming COVID-19, maintaining stable growth, strong exports, 

FDI attraction, and a 15% credit growth rate in the banking sector.

To boost economic growth, she proposed developing the capital market, maintaining stable interest rates, supporting social housing investment, and encouraging digital credit development. 

She also emphasized HDBank’s commitment to supporting AI, blockchain, and high-tech sectors, including semiconductors.

Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính acknowledged the banking sector’s vital role in economic development and urged swift policy implementation to achieve the 8% GDP growth target in 2025, 

laying the foundation for future double-digit growth.
